Here’s your chance to learn more about the operation of the Town of Bloomfield and get a “behind the scenes look” at day-to-day operations.
The Bloomfield Citizen’s Police Academy is an eight week interactive experience, in which participants will have the opportunity to:
- Tour Bloomfield’s police, fire and EMS facilities
- See what happens when a 911 call is received
- Climb up in a snow plow and learn how snow removal is coordinated during heavy winter storms
- Try on firefighting equipment and learn how volunteers react immediately to alarms
- Meet a variety of town staff, learn their roles and ask any questions you like
- Tour the town and visit various town facilities uncovering facts about your town services you never knew!
