Tax Collector
The Tax Collector's office is responsible for the billing and collection of real estate, motor vehicle and personal property taxes for both current and prior list years using methods set forth in the Connecticut General Statutes. The office also provides collection services, on a contractual basis, to the Bloomfield Center and Blue Hills fire districts.

Motor Vehicle, Personal Property, and first installment Real Estate tax bills are due July 1, 2023.The last day to pay without interest or penalty is Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
*Real Estate tax bills under $1000 are only due in one installment*Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax bills and second installment Real Estate tax bills are due January 1, 2024. The last day to pay without interest or penalty is Thursday, February 1, 2024.
- Do you have a drop box for payments?

Yes, there is a drop box around the circle at the Park Avenue entrance of Town Hall.These boxes are checked several times during the day. No cash should be placed in the drop box.

Yes, if you send in your entire billing statement and a self-addressed stamped envelope, we will stamp your portion of the bill and return it to you.
