Overview

Bloomfield Economic Development Commission Mission Statement:

The mission of the Bloomfield Economic Development Commission (EDC) is to proactively promote and foster the Town of Bloomfield’s long-term economic development health. The goal of the EDC is to increase prosperity within the Town to support a vibrant, globally competitive, and business-friendly community which promotes and strengthens the diversity, well-being, and high-quality of life for the community by creating opportunities for Bloomfield’s current and future businesses and residents to prosper and grow.

Areas of focus for the Economic Development Commission are:

  • To make informed recommendations that support the economic well-being of the Town 
  • To act in an advisory capacity as a liaison and partner with Town leadership, departments, and stakeholders
  • To concentrate on projects that support revitalization and investment within the Town and specifically, the three (3) established TIF Districts 
  • To work in partnership with the Town’s leadership in the creation of a Business Development Authority to support the TIF program and long-term Economic Development agenda for Bloomfield
