Certified Marriage Records

The Town Clerk’s Office issues certified copies of Marriage records for individuals married in Bloomfield or living in Bloomfield when they were married in Connecticut. Certified copies may only be provided to eligible parties as defined by Connecticut law. The fee is $20.00 per certified copy, payable by cash or check.

Who May Request a Certified Marriage Record:

• A certified copy of a marriage certificate may be purchased for a fee by anyone who is at least 18 years old.

How to Request a Certified Marriage Record:

To request a certified Marriage record, you may submit your request in person or by mail you will need:

• A completed Marriage Record Request Form

• Valid government-issued photo identification (if social security numbers are requested on the record)

• Payment of $20.00 per certified copy (cash or check)
