Anyone over the age of 16 is required to obtain a fishing license, available in the Town Clerk's Office. No license is required for youth under the age of 16, as long as they are accompanied by an adult who holds a current fishing license.
A hunting license may be obtained if applicants have completed the conservation/firearms safety course or have processed a hunting license within the past 5 years. Junior licenses are available after completing the safety course; however, junior licensees must hunt with an adult, 18 years or older, who holds a current hunting license.
Lifetime licenses are available at no charge for all Connecticut residents over the age of 65.
