Town of Bloomfield Warming Center Information
If you are in an emergency, no-heat situation outside of our regular business hours, please contact the Bloomfield Police Department at (860) 242-5501. Using ovens and unsafe space heaters for heat is never recommended. PLEASE consider staying with neighbors, family or friends, if possible, until you have heat.
For all other non-emergency heating needs, please contact Bloomfield Social & Youth Services during regular business hours, Monday thru Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm at (860) 242-1895.
If you or someone you know is in urgent need of shelter, please dial 2-1-1 for a list of homeless shelters, seasonal no freeze shelters and emergency support and connection to shelters. 2-1-1 is available 24/7.

The Town will provide water, but residents are asked to bring their own food. Please remember to also bring medications, emergency contact phone numbers, and any other items you may need during the day. Service dogs are always welcome, but please call for information regarding other pets.
